A leading London-based organisation specialising in forensic science and analytical testing is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join their team. As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing quality standards across accredited laboratory and mass spectrometry services, ensuring continued compliance with international quality frameworks.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and implement ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards across accredited laboratory testing services.
- Advise senior leadership and laboratory management on quality requirements, accreditation obligations, and associated regulatory implications.
- Oversee day-to-day compliance activities, including internal audits, quality reviews, documentation control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Investigate deviations, non-conformances, and quality incidents, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Support external assessments and accreditation audits while ensuring quality management systems remain robust, effective, and fit for purpose.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- A relevant degree in a Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biomedical Science, or related scientific discipline.
- Proven experience operating within a laboratory-based quality management framework.
- Strong practical knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, quality assurance systems, auditing processes, and accreditation requirements.
- Experience supporting analytical testing environments, ideally within forensic, pharmaceutical, clinical, toxicology, or regulated laboratory settings.
