KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct practical, lab-based R&D to support both existing and new product development programmes.
- Design and develop synthetic routes to novel surface-treatment chemistries, including synthesis, isolation, purification, and characterisation.
- Optimise reaction conditions to enhance yield, selectivity, reproducibility, and scalability.
- Evaluate and interpret experimental results to guide further development and identify new opportunities.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Chemistry with proven industry experience.
- Practical experience in organic synthesis or wet chemistry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and spoken.
