We are currently looking for a Mass Spectrometry Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Mass Spectrometry Scientist, you will be responsible for supporting characterisation work packages and investigations within the Characterisation and Material Sciences team. This is an initial 12 month contract with likely extension.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis of protein therapeutics using mass spectrometric techniques.
  • Utilise HPLC and electrophoresis as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the authorship of analytical aspects of regulatory submissions, technical procedures, protocols, and reports.
  • Communicate technical analytical issues to senior analytical management.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in a scientific discipline.
  • Proven industry experience in mass spectrometry.
  • Working knowledge and practical experience with protein chemistry.
