We are currently recruiting for a Research Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area for an initial 12 months. As the Research Scientist, you will be responsible for generating innovative bispecific antibodies and providing protein engineering solutions for new drug candidates in the field of immune cell engagers.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the optimal design, selection, and delivery of bispecific antibody molecules that advance therapeutic antibody projects.
  • Analyze, interrogate, interpret, and accurately document data to support decision‑making.
  • Liaise with project leaders and communicate data through presentations and written reports.
  • Innovate or identify relevant technologies for evaluation and potential implementation.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant degree in biochemistry or a related biological discipline.
  • Proven industry experience in antibody discovery and engineering, with comprehensive knowledge of antibodies, their structures and functions.
  • A working knowledge and practical experience with recombinant protein production from mammalian cells and associated analytical techniques.
  • Experience in cell assays (cell binding, signalling, reporter, complex, flow cytometry) using cell lines or primary cells is beneficial.
