An exciting position has arisen for an Associate Scientist to join a leading biopharmaceutical company based in Berkshire. As the Associate Scientist, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of downstream processes for the recovery and purification of antibody-based therapeutics.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Undertake purification process development experiments for fundamental understanding of individual unit operations.
- Assist with the evaluation of new bioprocess purification technologies.
- Identify and utilise appropriate analytical techniques.
- Demonstrate ability to analyse data, with good attention to detail, and effectively communicate findings to a multi-disciplinary team.
Role Requirements:
- Relevant degree in a related field such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a similar discipline.
- Proven industry experience in antibody and protein purification.
- A working knowledge and practical experience with chromatography, automated systems, and ultrafiltration.
