ROLE OVERVIEW
We are currently looking for an Associate Scientific Director, Biology Drug Discovery and Therapeutic Area Lead (Immunology & Autoimmunity) to join a leading, growing organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to pioneering research and development initiatives in immunology and autoimmunity. The role is on-site in Edinburgh. This position provides a unique chance to be at the forefront of innovative research, leading scientific strategy and collaboration within a dynamic team dedicated to impactful therapeutic solutions.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee scientific activities related to immunology and autoimmunity drug discovery projects.
- Develop and implement strategies for biological research initiatives aligned with company objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including internal and external stakeholders, to drive project progress.
- Contribute to the scientific leadership of the department, ensuring research quality and compliance.
- Provide scientific guidance to the team.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- A Degree or higher level in a relevant field (e.g., Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry).
- Proven experience in drug discovery, immunology, or autoimmunity research within a related scientific environment.
- Extensive knowledge of biological research techniques, assay development, and therapeutic assessment.
- Demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
