Requirements
- Essential
- Professional experience working on backend systems in a Games or Software environment.
- 3+ years of experience using Scala.
- Professional experience using GraphQL.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Experience using Git, or another source code management system.
- Experience meeting project deadlines and targets regarding tasks and deliverables.
- Experience communicating project requirements both verbally and through written documentation.
- Desirable
- Experience using any of Play Framework, Couchbase, Akka.
- Experience managing and participating in code reviews.
- Experience using task management software, specifically JIRA.
- Experience with multiplayer backend systems.

Duties and Tasks
- Maintaining and expanding large-scale backend services of live games and applications.
- Communicating and working within the team to identify the most efficient way of completing your tasks.
- Creating Scala code to meet project and platform requirements.
- Writing user-friendly GraphQL APIs.
- Writing performant code within the requirements of the target system.
- Attending standups and team meetings for the communication of project goals.
- Managing the burndown of your tasks, using task tracking software and working with your Project Lead to prioritise work.
