Back End Developer Engineer in Dundee

Professional experience working on backend systems in a Games or Software environment.

• Experience meeting project deadlines and targets regarding tasks and deliverables.
• Experience communicating project requirements both verbally and through written documentation.
• Experience using task management software, specifically JIRA.
• Robust software engineering and software architecture principles.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise your workload and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.
• Strong skills in close teamwork within both local and global environments.
• A creative and logical approach to problem-solving with an end-user focus.
• Maintaining and expanding large-scale backend services of live games and applications.
• Creating Scala code to meet project and platform requirements.
• Writing user-friendly GraphQL APIs.
• Writing performant code within the requirements of the target system.
• Attending standups and team meetings for the communication of project goals.
• Managing the burndown of your tasks, using task tracking software and working with your Project Lead to prioritise work.
