Hypepatrol is a new culture-driven media startup spotlighting the trends, voices, and visuals shaping today — across style, music, streetwear, identity, and design. We’re looking for a freelance Web Developer to design, build, and launch our first public-facing website. This is a project-based role (~1 month) with a focused brief: deliver a clean, fast, mobile-first site that reflects our brand, supports content publishing, and enables monetisation from day one.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with platforms like Webflow, knows how to build responsive layouts that perform across devices, and can confidently implement SEO foundations and affiliate integrations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and launch Hypepatrol’s official website using Webflow (or comparable visual builder/CMS).
- Translate mockups and brand elements into a polished, responsive web experience.
- Create and configure CMS collections for content across Style, Music, Footwear, Culture, Lifestyle, Features, and Drops.
- Implement affiliate link support (via platforms like Skimlinks, Awin, LTK).
- Add newsletter sign-up and content submission forms (email, name, IG handle).
- Optimise for performance, mobile UX, and basic SEO best practices (e.g. load time, metadata, schema).
- Ensure clean structure and documentation to support future rebuild in React/headless CMS.
- Provide a handover guide and light post-launch support (e.g. small fixes or edits).
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in front-end development or no-code platforms (e.g. Webflow, Framer).
- Proven ability to build clean, responsive websites with strong UX/UI thinking.
- Solid understanding of modular design, CMS structure, and SEO fundamentals.
- Familiarity with affiliate marketing tools (Skimlinks, LTK, etc.) and web analytics (Google Analytics, Search Console).
- Confident in performance optimisation (image compression, loading strategies, mobile testing).
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to self-manage on a tight timeline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing/developing for editorial or culture-forward brands.
- Knowledge of modern front-end stacks (JavaScript, React, Tailwind — even if not used here).
- Familiarity with structuring sites for future scale (e.g. React or headless CMS migration).
- Experience with email platforms (Mailchimp, Flodesk, Beehiiv).
Timeline: ~4 weeks from project start date
Start Date: ASAP
