Are you a seasoned Site Supervisor with extensive experience in the installation and commissioning of power transformers? NES Fircroft has been retained by Hyosung Heavy Industries to look for a skilled professional to lead on-site activities across the UK and Europe.

In this pivotal role, you will be Hyosung\’s primary on-site representative, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful project implementation. You will be responsible for all on-site control, coordination, quality assurance, HSE management, and technical problem-solving.

In this Site Supervisor role, your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Technical Management & Problem-Solving: Serve as the on-site technical authority, overseeing all aspects of transformer installation and commissioning. Use your deep technical knowledge to resolve challenges and interface directly with the factory engineering team to find solutions.
  • Quality Control & Snagging Management: Ensure rigorous adherence to the Hyosung Quality Policy, taking personal accountability for identifying and resolving all snagging items. Your relentless persistence will be key to achieving a zero-defect handover to clients.
  • HSE Leadership: Work with the HSE Manager to implement and enforce on-site health, safety, and environmental policies. Lead daily safety briefings, stop work when unsafe conditions are present, and maintain a visible safety-first culture.
  • Site Coordination & Stakeholder Management: Implement on-site project plans and coordinate daily activities among subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives. Build strong relationships with clients and provide regular, comprehensive site progress reports

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in power transformer installation and commissioning. We are looking for candidates with:

  • An HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in power transformer installation and commissioning.
  • High-voltage electrical systems safety certifications,
  • Strong technical knowledge of power transformers and electrical systems.
  • Proactive approach to quality and safety.
  • Valid passport and driver\’s license

This is a field-based role that requires significant travel, primarily within the UK but with potential assignments across Europe.
