SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience delivering swimming lessons to children and/or adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different ages, abilities and learning styles.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage class registers and learner records.
- Ability to build positive relationships with swimmers and parents.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience delivering the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme.
- Experience teaching school swimming.
- Experience supporting swimmers with additional needs. Experience supporting promotional events or aquatic programmes.
QUALIFICATIONS/CREDENTIALS
- Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Current Swim England Safeguarding qualification (or willingness to maintain). Enhanced DBS check.
- Current NRASTC, NRASTC Light or equivalent recognised rescue qualification
- Swim England Level 2 Award in Teaching Pre-School Swimming.
- Emergency First Aid at Work qualification
- Additional aquatic teaching qualifications.
