£42,839 to £46,142 per annum — 37 hours per week. Essential car user. Politically restricted post.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Manage the development of Hyndburn’s Local Plan, ensuring high quality and sustainable development across the Borough.
• Support growth and investment strategy, including two strategic employment sites and a garden village at Huncoat.
• Engage effectively within the Council, residents, applicants and elected members.
• Deliver a sound local plan supported by necessary evidence.

Qualifications

• Member of the RTPI with excellent knowledge and experience of planning and development control.
• Highly motivated, qualified and experienced planner.
• Computer literate, able to manage people and budgets.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
