Hyndburn Borough Council is seeking a highly motivated, qualified, and experienced planning professional to join our Planning Policy team as a Senior Planning Policy Officer. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping Hyndburn’s development plan, supporting the progression of Local Plan 2040 toward adoption in 2026, and contributing to the preparation of a new Local Plan under the reformed plan‑making system. The role requires strong knowledge of current planning legislation and national policy. Applicants should ideally be members of the RTPI, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in planning policy development or a policy‑focused role.
