We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and motivated person, who responds well to working in a pressurised environment, can work to deadlines/targets and who can demonstrate a real commitment to providing excellent customer care and top-quality service.
You will be a member of a busy team responsible for the administration and issue of licences for various activities including (amongst others) taxis, the sale of alcohol, regulated entertainment, the sale of alcohol and gambling.
Responsibilities- Check relevant documentation and issue licences in relation to activities which are required to be licensed by Hyndburn Borough Council.
- Provide advice as required to licensing enquiries and develop a wide and comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of licensing legislation.
- Work as part of a team to administer and issue licences in a timely, accurate and customer-focused manner.
- Proficient IT user with an excellent command of written English.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines/targets and maintain high standards of service.
You will be expected to develop a wide and comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of licensing legislation.
