We are seeking a Digital Systems Manager to lead the management, development and optimisation of the Council’s core business systems. This role is central to ensuring our systems are reliable, secure and designed around the needs of both services and customers. You will work closely with service managers, suppliers and senior leaders to deliver system improvements, new technologies and more efficient ways of working across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and administer the Council’s corporate and line of business systems
- Lead the specification, procurement and implementation of new and enhanced systems
- Act as the primary technical lead with suppliers during system selection and delivery
- Ensure systems are secure, compliant and operating at optimum performance
- Lead system testing, upgrades and releases
- Support business continuity planning and service resilience
- Deliver and coordinate user training and system guidance
- Supervise staff and support their development
- Promote continuous improvement and digital innovation
You will have strong experience managing complex ICT systems in a multi user environment, ideally within local government or a similar organisation. You will be confident working with stakeholders at all levels and translating business needs into effective digital solutions.
