We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimising CNC machining programs for complex aerospace components, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with strict industry standards. This role involves close collaboration with design, production, and quality teams to support on-time delivery of high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, prove out, and optimise CNC programs for milling and turning centres (3/4/5-axis).
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications to create accurate machining processes.
  • Select appropriate tooling, work-holding, and cutting strategies to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes.
  • Conduct program simulations and first-off inspections to verify compliance with aerospace quality standards.
  • Provide technical support to machine operators during setup and production runs.
  • Drive process improvements to reduce cycle times, increase tool life, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including setup sheets, tool lists, and program archives.
  • Ensure all activities meet AS9100 and customer-specific aerospace requirements.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to provide manufacturability feedback.
