We have an exciting opportunity to join our Actuarial Public team as an Office Administrator Apprentice, giving you the chance to develop your administration skills while completing an SCQF Level 6 qualification in Digital Applications. This is a fixed-term contract for an initial period of 18 months, with an expectation of approximately 12 months to complete the qualification. Upon completion, the programme opens doors to potential further employment opportunities across the firm.
As a key part of the Actuarial Public team, you will collaborate with colleagues across the team, including Personal Assistants, the Operations Manager, and the Operations Lead.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintaining the team inbox and highlighting urgent items for attention.
- Learning the various systems used and building confidence in working with them.
- Supporting others with diary coordination, setting up meeting rooms, and taking minutes/actions.
- Handling key administrative tasks on behalf of senior colleagues within the Business Unit.
- Assisting with expense processing, travel and accommodation arrangements, and billing/client activities.
- Working with an in‑house mentor to reflect on skills and knowledge development in line with qualification requirements.
- Adhering to the firm’s mandatory policies, including Information Security standards.
- Enthusiastic about starting a career in business administration.
- Self‑motivated and capable of using initiative to complete tasks.
- Fast and accurate work with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communicator and team player, excited to collaborate with colleagues from across the firm.
