About the role
A senior leadership role responsible for setting the direction for our bids function, leading and developing the team, and ensuring high‑quality proposals that drive commercial success.
Key responsibilities
- Set the direction of the bids function aligned with commercial priorities and growth plans.
- Establish clear governance across the bid lifecycle, from pipeline through submission and pitch.
- Focus effort on the opportunities that matter most, supporting effective bid decisions.
- Work with partners and client teams to shape strong, client‑focused proposals.
- Provide clear value propositions, messaging and high‑quality submissions.
- Build strong relationships across the firm, acting as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders.
- Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing, inclusive team of bid professionals.
- Improve ways of working, including the use of data, technology, AI and new tools.
- Provide insight on performance to support continuous improvement.
Required qualifications and experience
- Experience leading bids or proposals in a professional services or similar environment.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and contributing to decision‑making.
- Ability to connect bid activity to wider business goals.
- Strong communication skills, with a focus on clarity and quality.
- A collaborative and supportive leadership style.
- Good commercial awareness and sound judgement.
- Interest in improving processes, including the use of data, AI and technology.
