We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our finance team in Glasgow.
What will your role look like?
The Finance Analyst will deliver robust financial reporting and analysis, partner with stakeholders across the business, and actively contribute to the digitisation and improvement of finance processes.
Core finance and reporting
- Delivering accurate month-end outputs and supporting key finance deliverables
- Producing, analysing and interpreting management information, including P&L reviews and variance analysis
- Supporting budget setting, rolling forecasts and ongoing financial monitoring
- Acting as a finance partner to budget holders across the business
Process, systems and automation
- Streamlining and improving finance processes, with a particular focus on automation and digitisation
- Implementing and maintaining automations using tools such as Power Automate
- Supporting system upgrades, process redesign and regression testing
- Managing data imports and exports (e.g. CSV files)
- Maintaining clear documentation to support system use and strong internal controls
- Recommending and implementing improvements to systems, controls and procedures
Projects and insight
- Contributing to ad-hoc finance and business projects
- Using dashboards and analytical tools (such as Power BI) to translate data into clear, meaningful insight
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting projects that turn ideas into action
To enjoy and succeed in this role, you will have:
- Experience working within a finance team, delivering tasks accurately and to agreed timetables
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and tell a clear story with data
- Experience identifying and implementing improvements to processes or ways of working
- Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels and building effective working relationships
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience of business partnering or client-facing finance roles
And ideally (but not essentially):
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite
- Familiarity with automation or workflow tools such as Power Automate
- Experience using dashboards and analytical tools, including Power BI or planning and budgeting systems
- SQL or script-writing skills
