Hygrove Partners is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in the metals and steel industry for an Internal Sales Executive to join their well-established Exeter branch. THE ROLE A newly available Internal Sales position within the Exeter branch, supporting the external sales team and managing inbound customer demand. This is the commercial engine room of the branch: quoting, order processing, account management and problem solving, working closely with operations and transport to make sure customers get what they need, when they need it. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Handle inbound customer enquiries by phone and email, preparing accurate quotations and converting them into orders - Process orders end to end through SAP, maintaining accurate pricing, stock and delivery information - Manage and develop an existing customer base, building long-term relationships and identifying additional sales opportunities - Support the external sales team with quotations, follow-ups and account administration - Liaise closely with operations and transport to coordinate stock availability, processing and delivery schedules - Resolve customer queries and delivery issues proactively, keeping customers informed throughout - Contribute to branch targets and support a collaborative, team-first office culture WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Hands-on SAP experience is the single most important requirement.
