Reporting to the Children's Home Manager
Salary: £28-33,000 per annum depending on experience
Hours: Full time including regular weekends

The Role
You will provide high-quality, child-centred care in a calm, nurturing and respectful home environment, helping a young child to feel safe, secure and supported in their everyday lives. Alongside supporting the other children living in the home, you will be part of a team providing additional care for one young child with health needs, working collaboratively with experienced colleagues to ensure their comfort, wellbeing and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, compassionate and individualized care to children and young people with complex health needs.
- Support with personal care, mobility and daily routines in a way that promotes dignity and independence.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Assist with medical and healthcare tasks in line with training and care plans.
- Build trusting relationships with the children, providing individualized attention and support based on their unique needs and strengths.
- Support the young child to take part in meaningful activities, learning and everyday experiences.
- Observe, record and report changes in a child's wellbeing or health.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with Hygge and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Act as a positive role model, reflecting Hygge’s values in everything you do.

Other Requirements
