The International Business Development Manager will lead strategic growth across priority international markets by developing market entry plans, strengthening senior customer and partner relationships, driving growth and adoption in Hyfire wireless systems leading to sustainable revenue growth aligned to Hyfire’s long-term objectives. Operating at a senior level within the commercial function, the role will work closely with key customers, strategic accounts and exclusive partners to grow core business and solution sales in priority sectors.
It will also support senior management in shaping international expansion priorities, key account strategy and brand positioning across distributors, partners, consultants, integrators and end users. The role combines commercial insight, strategic planning, account management and market development to accelerate growth, improve market penetration, support forecasting and S&OP, develop go-to-market plans for new products, and contribute to research on new markets, entry routes and potential M&A activity.
BDM Strategic Accountabilities- Lead international business development strategy in line with Hyfire’s growth ambitions, market priorities and commercial objectives.
- Build executive-level relationships with international distributors, partners, consultants, integrators and key end-user accounts to strengthen market position and unlock growth.
- Own account management for priority international customers and partners, with clear objectives, pipelines, reviews and joint growth plans.
- Translate market insight, customer needs and competitor trends into recommendations for the senior leadership team, including new markets, entry routes and potential M&A opportunities.
- Represent Hyfire in international markets through senior-level customer, partner and industry engagements to strengthen brand credibility and influence.
- Provide clear pipeline visibility, accurate forecasting and performance reporting to support planning, resource allocation and decision-making.
- Ensure international commercial activity is conducted transparently, ethically and in compliance with legal and company standards.
- Identify and prioritise international growth opportunities in line with Hyfire’s strategic and commercial objectives.
- Support the Hyfire International Director in researching new markets and opportunities for entry, expansion and M&A activity.
- Build senior relationships with distributors, exclusive partners and key accounts to deliver sustainable revenue growth and greater market penetration.
- Lead account reviews, joint business planning and commercial development initiatives with priority customers and partners across key sectors and verticals.
- Provide senior management with market intelligence, strategic recommendations, risk awareness and commercial insight.
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, prioritisation and business cases for international initiatives and major commercial opportunities.
- Maintain disciplined account and pipeline management, accurate forecasting and clear performance reporting across international territories.
- Ensure all commercial activity complies with company policy, legal requirements and Hyfire’s standards for ethical and transparent business conduct.
- Performance will be measured by revenue delivery, strategic execution, international market development, stakeholder engagement and contribution to wider business objectives.
- Delivers agreed sales growth, pipeline development and strategic account progression in line with business targets.
- Significant experience in international business development, strategic accounts or channel development, ideally in fire safety, life safety or related technical sectors.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, presentation and communication skills, with credibility at executive level.
- Commercially astute and data-driven, with experience in account planning, pipeline management, forecasting and performance reporting.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
- Knowledge of international market development, channel management and go-to-market planning.
- Knowledge of relevant fire safety standards, regulatory frameworks and specification-led sales environments.
- Additional language capability and experience working across culturally diverse business environments.
- Executive presence and credibility, able to influence senior stakeholders, lead high-level commercial conversations and represent Hyfire confidently in international markets.
- Results-driven and sales-focused, with a strong bias for action, disciplined pipeline conversion and a clear focus on winning profitable business.
