Our client, a well-established and growing food manufacturer with a portfolio of over 100 products, is seeking a skilled Production Planner to join their operations team in Newbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and commercially aware individual to play a key role in ensuring efficient production across multiple lines within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating production across four manufacturing lines, ensuring optimal use of materials, labour, and equipment. This role is critical in maintaining smooth operations, meeting customer demand, and minimising waste.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain production schedules across four production lines
- Plan and allocate materials, labour, and equipment to meet production targets
- Work closely with procurement, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability
- Monitor production performance and adjust plans in response to changes in demand or capacity
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimise resource utilisation
- Ensure all planning aligns with food safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production process
- Previous experience in a production planning role, ideally within the food or FMCG sector
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain coordination
