We’re working with an early-stage, PE-backed AI consultancy that’s growing fast — and they’re looking for someone exceptional to join them part-time. This isn’t a typical finance role. Yes, you’ll own the numbers — but you’ll also work directly with a Founding Partner as a true right hand, getting exposure across operations, HR, and legal as the business scales. This role can be based anywhere in the UK but will require you to travel to London twice a month. This is a part-time role of four days a week but could increase to full time in the future.
What you’ll do:
- Own month-end (journals, accruals, reconciliations)
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
- Produce management accounts that actually tell a story
- Manage VAT returns and UK compliance
Operations, HR & Legal
- Support day-to-day business operations
- Assist with onboarding, contracts, and employee processes
- Get involved wherever needed — this is a startup, not a siloed role
What we’re looking for:
- 3–6 years in a finance / analyst role
- Strong Excel + financial modelling skills
- Experience with Xero (must-have)
- Someone AI-native — using tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, etc. to work smarter
- High agency: you don’t wait for instructions, you figure things out
- Curious and commercially aware — you want to grow beyond finance
- Accountancy qualification (strongly desired)
