About the Role
We are seeking a Senior / Multi-Utility Designer to manage and deliver compliant, cost-effective designs for gas, water, and electrical networks. You will oversee a portfolio of projects, review designs for quality and accuracy, and collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Available for Locations in or around Warrington, Berkshire or Northamptonshire
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver multi-utility network designs.
- Review and approve electrical design packages prior to submission to adopting bodies.
- Liaise with internal teams and third-party asset owners to secure design approvals and connection offers.
- Mentor and train junior team members, supporting their professional development.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, CDM procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Support projects throughout the design lifecycle, from tendering to construction handover.
What You’ll Need
- Qualifications :
- S/NVQ Level 3 in Network Mains Design or CABWI Level 3 Diploma in Designing Water Networks.
- Electrical Engineering Qualification or Experience – Essential
- City & Guilds Gas Network Design qualifications (Units 302, 304, and 307) – Desirable
- Qualification in technical drawing and Health & Safety Awareness. – Essential
- Experience :
- Strong knowledge of multi-utility design standards and regulations.
- Experience managing portfolio projects within utilities or construction.
- Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, WinDEBUT, Amtech Protect preferred).
- Ability to liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project success.
