We’re working with an exciting and fast-growing business at the intersection of the creative industries, music, content and workspace, as they look to appoint a commercially minded Head of Finance. With a growing multi-site operation, a strong investor base and an ambitious expansion plan, this is a newly created opportunity for someone who wants to take genuine ownership of the finance function and play a key role in shaping the next phase of the business.
You’ll work closely with the CEO and leadership team, becoming the key point of reference for the company’s financial performance, planning and decision-making.
What you’ll be doing:
- Taking ownership of the company’s financial model, including modelling future site expansion
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting across the business and its multiple sites
- Owning cash flow forecasting, liquidity monitoring and financial risk management
- Producing monthly management accounts, variance analysis and board reporting
- Providing commercial analysis and insight to support pricing, growth and investment decisions
- Developing a clear understanding of key business drivers including occupancy, utilisation, customer acquisition, churn and site-level profitability
- Comparing performance across locations and identifying the key drivers behind site-level results
- Working closely with the CEO on scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for future sites and expansion
- Managing the outsourced accounting function and ensuring statutory obligations are delivered accurately and on time
- Taking ownership of credit control and working capital
- Improving finance systems, processes and reporting
- Bringing together data across multiple systems to create a reliable, single view of business performance
- Identifying opportunities to automate processes and build a more AI-enabled finance function
- Ultimately, building a modern, scalable finance function that can support the company’s continued growth
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or qualified through substantial relevant experience
- Has proven experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar
- Has strong, hands-on finance experience within a multi-site business. This is essential for the role
- Has experience supporting a business with multiple locations, sites or operational units, ideally through a period of growth or expansion
- Understands the financial complexity of a multi-site operation, including site-level P&L
