Salary: ÂŁ34,430.90 + ÂŁ3,000 night allowance

Are you an experienced field leader with a strong focus on safety, performance, and team development? We’re looking for a Nights Field Team Leader to play a critical role in delivering high‑quality leakage operations across the Thames Water framework. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead from the front, drive productivity, and create a positive safety‑led culture within a vital operational environment.

Reporting to the Operations Support Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating night‑time field operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client and business expectations. You will act as the key link between field teams, the office, and senior management—supporting operational delivery, developing people, and maintaining excellent client relationships.

Role:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage night shift field teams to deliver high performance
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee nightly field operations to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets
  • Allocate work effectively based on team capability and operational needs
  • Act as the main point of contact between field teams, management, and clients
  • Monitor performance, complete audits, and drive continuous improvement
  • Promote and embed business processes and best practice across teams
  • Champion health, safety, and wellbeing, ensuring full compliance at all times
  • Ensure accurate reporting of incidents, performance, and operational data
  • Support training, development, and progression of team members

What You’ll Need:

  • Strong health and safety awareness

  • Experience auditing field‑based operational activities
  • Excellent client management and customer‑focused approach
  • Flexible approach to shift patterns (night work essential)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Proactive, solutions‑focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team
