The RoleAs a Leakage Detection Technician, you\âll play a vital part in identifying and reducing water loss across the network. This is a handsâon, fieldâbased position where no two days are the sameâyou could be pinpointing complex leaks, quantifying leakage, or attending dry holes to validate previous findings. You\âll be part of a highâperforming team that works with precision, pride, and purposeâknowing your efforts directly improve water efficiency, customer satisfaction, and sustainability. You\âll also have opportunities to earn weekend overtime, and we aim to be as flexible as possible to support a healthy workâlife balance.
What You\âll Do
Carry out leakage detection and advanced survey work using specialist equipment and proven techniques.
Plan and execute efficient leakage survey campaigns in line with the Leakage Operating Model.
Conduct quantifications and dry hole attendance to verify and report on leakage findings.
Use your technical knowledge and deductive thinking to pinpoint complex leaks accurately.
Complete all work safely and in compliance with Health & Safety, NRSWA, and environmental standards.
Deliver firstâclass customer service, ensuring all interactions reflect our Right FirstâTime approach.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe working practices for yourself and others on site.
Support colleagues, share knowledge, and represent Hydrosave UK Ltd with professionalism and pride.
Essential Qualifications
Proven experience in leakage detection within the water industry.
Strong practical skills, with confidence using digital tools and leak detection equipment.
Excellent customer service and communication skillsâyou\âre approachable, professional, and solutionâfocused.
A solid understanding of water distribution networks and leakage control principles.
A proactive mindsetâyou bring your own initiative, take ownership, and look for ways to improve how things are done.
A full UK driving licence.
Desirable
NRSWA accreditation.
Training in Manual Handling or Underground Cable Detection.
Prior experience working in a similar utility or fieldâbased technical role.
