As the business continues to grow, we are looking for a Legionella Risk Assessor to join our team in the Midlands, helping clients manage risk, achieve compliance and maintain safe water systems.

Job details

This role is central to the day-to-day success of the business and contributes directly to operational performance and customer outcomes. As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for carrying out Legionella risk assessments across a varied client portfolio, identifying risks, providing practical recommendations and supporting clients in maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and guidance. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who thrives in a technical environment and enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and making a tangible impact on water safety.

What you will do

  • Carry out Legionella risk assessments in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidance.
  • Inspect hot and cold water systems across a range of commercial, healthcare, educational and industrial sites.
  • Produce detailed risk assessment reports and provide clear recommendations to clients.
  • Identify compliance issues and advise on appropriate remedial actions.
  • Maintain accurate site records and technical documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, compliance and quality standards.

Who you are

  • Previous experience carrying out Legionella risk assessments.
  • A sound understanding of ACOP L8, HSG274 and water hygiene compliance requirements.
  • Relevant Legionella Risk Assessment qualifications.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accountability.
  • The ability to manage priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • A collaborative approach and a commitment to doing things the right way.
