We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team as a Trainee Subsea Inspection Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your career from the ground up with hands-on experience, mentoring, and tailored development from our experienced inspection professionals. You’ll work closely with our experienced Aberdeen-based inspection team to develop a strong foundation in subsea inspection techniques and offshore operations. As part of your training, you’ll also gain hands-on experience onboard our vessels and see how Reach Subsea plays a key role in global offshore projects.

  • Supporting the planning and execution of subsea inspection campaigns using ROVs
  • Learning various subsea inspection techniques and industry methodologies
  • Assisting with live data acquisition and monitoring of subsea structures, pipelines, and components
  • Helping to assess and report on inspection results
  • Participating in project prep, data management, and reporting
  • Working with industry-leading inspection software and tools
  • Collaborating with experienced inspection coordinators and engineers both onshore and offshore
  • Structured on-the-job training and mentoring
  • Development pathway toward CSWIP 3.3U certification
  • Offshore project experience in both renewable and oil & gas sectors
  • A collaborative and supportive team environment

  • A genuine interest in subsea engineering, ROV operations, or offshore energy
  • An HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering, Survey, Marine Technology, IT, or a related field (preferred but not essential)

  • Flexibility to travel and work offshore when required
