Joining our Asset Integrity team as an Onshore Survey Technician, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring equipment is delivery-ready and built to perform. You’ll work collaboratively to prepare, test, label, identify, calibrate, and package equipment to the highest safety and quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out regulated electrical safety testing.
- Maintaining accurate work orders and customer records in our ERP system.
- Inspecting, testing, repairing, and preparing stand-alone and integrated subsea survey equipment, including bespoke solution packages.
- Commissioning new equipment and assembling bespoke Ashtead Technology products.
- Completing repairs in line with manufacturer standards and regulatory requirements.
- Preparing equipment for hire, ensuring it is fully functional, complete, accurately documented, photographed, labelled, and professionally presented.
- Off-hiring and testing equipment returned from hire in accordance with workshop procedures and identifying and documenting missing or damaged equipment.
- Carrying out electrical safety testing as required by regulations and ensuring all test and measurement equipment used is within calibration.
- Completing work orders, customer records, and export documentation within the ERP system.
- Travelling offshore or dockside to support client requirements.
- Providing on-call support as part of a rotational schedule.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or other technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.
- Track record of experience in a Technician or Engineering role undertaking repair, maintenance, assembly and testing of electronic equipment, preferably in a subsea environment.
- Extensive knowledge of subsea equipment.
- Problem-solving capabilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work offshore and or dockside as and when needed, for example to operate or service equipment on behalf of a client.
- Additional offshore experience is beneficial.
