We have an exciting opportunity for candidates to fill permanent roles in our Survey Discipline, including Senior Offshore/Remote Data Processors.
We will consider applicants who meet the criteria outlined below.
For this position, we are hiring on an ongoing basis throughout the process.
The Data Processor is responsible for executing all survey and positioning projects offshore or through remote data processing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data handling.
- Provide support and guidance for planning and preparation of data processing for survey projects.
- Contribute to the data processing phase of survey projects.
- Contribute to data processing procedures and workflows.
- Contribute to the development of data processing capabilities.
- Contribute to data processing and data deliverables of individual survey projects, as required.
- Contribute to the training of junior personnel.
- Communicate resource requirements to Reporting Manager.
- Contribute to cable/pipeline inspection workflow.
- Perform ad hoc offshore operations when required.
Qualifications:
- MSc in Surveying, Electronics, IT, Data Management, or Management, or similar.
- Relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
- Skilled and experienced Data Processor with an equivalent combination of relevant management experience and education/training.
- Understanding of calibration procedures for all primary sensors used during standard surveys.
- Understanding of geodetic reference systems and projection parameters.
- Advanced understanding of sensor data and ability to determine the quality of logged sensor data.
- Experience with MBES processing software.
- Good communication and cooperation skills.
- Ability to verify the results of automated processes.
- Ability to interpret client and industry electronic data format specifications and produce files that meet such data formats.
