Position Overview
Working for A-2-Sea Solutions Ltd, a SubCom LLC company, the Hydrographic Data Processor is an office based position involving the creation of project deliverables and data coordination.
- Input into departmental or project specific processing and reporting meetings
- Process acquired data to achieve the client’s objectives and meet their technical requirements.
- Manage work load and schedules to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Assist with tender compilation.
- Produce and update processing technical notes.
- Preparation of report packages.
- Manage data storage requirements to ensure sufficient capacity for high volumes of data.
- A higher education degree in offshoresurveying (ideally IHO Cat-A accredited) or related science-based subject.
- Proficient at using Caris HIPS & SIPS, POSPac, FMGT, AutoClean and other processing software.
- QC’s data and highlights any issues with line manager and vessel Party Chiefs.
- Able to plot, present and describe survey results for QC by senior personnel.
- Produces final data deliverables to meet internal and external quality standards.
- Prepares survey reports for final review by more experienced personnel.
- An understanding ofa variety of geophysical and hydrographic survey equipment, including multibeam echosounders, positioning systems, USBL systems, side scan sonar, magnetometers andsub-bottom profilers.
- Solid understanding of geodetics.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- A proactive, flexible approach to achieving tasks.
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Possession of a full, valid driving license.
