A leading global financial services organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its established in-house legal team as a 'go to' regulatory lawyer for the business.
This is a broad and commercially focused role, providing legal and regulatory advice to senior stakeholders across a complex financial services business. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on UK and EU regulatory matters (EMIR, MiFID II, CRD VI etc.) and supporting the business on a range of strategic and commercial initiatives, including digital assets.
Skills required
- Qualified lawyer in England & Wales or an equivalent jurisdiction with 4+ years' PQE
- Strong UK and EU financial services regulatory experience
- Strong commercial contract drafting, negotiation and advisory skills would be advantageous
- Experience using legal technology or generative AI tools would be advantageous
- In-house experience gained through a secondment or permanent role would be advantageous.
