A leading financial services organisation is seeking a Legal Counsel to support the development and launch of Banking-as-a-Service products. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to work closely with product, partnership and technology teams in a fast-moving, innovation-led environment. The successful candidate will be working closely with the business and being considered as the 'go to' lawyer, advising on the full lifecycle of POS lending products and roll out of BaaS propositions and related IT matters. In addition, you'll be managing external legal spend and sharing legal and regulatory developments with stakeholders and contributing to wider legal team initiatives.
Skills required:
- Qualified lawyer with 2+ years PQE with strong CCA regulatory experience and exposure to POS lending or BaaS
- Background in financial services, ideally within a fast-paced in-house environment
- Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working autonomously and managing competing priorities
- Interest in innovation, technology and the evolving digital banking landscape
