A leading global investment manager is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its London-based legal team. This is a broad, international role supporting private markets and wider asset management activities. The successful candidate will be working closely with the business advising on the establishment and ongoing management and launch of private funds, including negotiation of investor and fund documentation.
You will also be drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements relating to investment management, distribution and fundraising activities as well as supporting on some regulatory matters. This is an ideal role for someone looking to move in-house to a broad role where they can utilise their funds skillset and build expertise in other areas.
About you:
- Qualified lawyer
- 2 - 6 year's PQE gained in the funds/asset management team at a leading law firm
- Strong background in private funds and fund‑related documentation, credit funds exposure is desirable.
- Familiarity with cross‑border legal and regulatory issues within asset management
