We're partnering with a leading investment management organisation that is investing heavily in data, automation and technology to support the next phase of its growth. As part of this investment, they're looking to hire a Business Data Analyst to join a growing data function focused on improving data quality, governance, reporting and automation across the business. This is an excellent opportunity to work at the heart of a business undergoing significant transformation, helping to shape how data is managed, analysed and leveraged across Operations, Product, Risk, Performance, Fund Accounting and Front Office teams.
The Role
Working within a collaborative Business Data Management team, you’ll play a key role in delivering the organisation’s data strategy by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes, improve data governance and develop insightful reporting solutions. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand data challenges, implement new technologies and support the development of self‑service reporting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the automation and optimisation of existing manual processes using strategic data tools
- Analyse and visualise business data to provide meaningful insights across multiple business functions
- Support the development of data governance standards and foundational data domains
- Build and enhance self‑service reporting and dashboards using Power BI
- Work with third‑party vendors to integrate data platforms and improve data accessibility
- Produce reports for governance forums, steering committees and senior stakeholders
- Create and maintain process documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver data‑focused change projects
About You
We’re looking for someone with a passion for data, technology and continuous improvement who enjoys solving complex business problems. You’ll ideally have:
- Experience within Asset Management or the wider Investment Management industry
- Strong data analysis and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with SQL and Python
- Experience using Power BI for reporting and dashboard creation
- Knowledge of Snowflake and Alteryx
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working within business change or transformation programmes (desirable)
- Exposure to Power Automate, APIs or SFTP integrations (advantageous)
- IMC qualification or similar (desirable)
