Overview

Hydro International Europe Wastewater Ltd provides an exciting opportunity to learn and develop specialist skills in the repair and servicing industry. Apprentices will undertake on and off job training to a comprehensive training package which covers other aspects of the company, not just electrical. While academic ability plays a part, we care as much about your attitude and desire to be part of our future at Hydro International Europe Wastewater Ltd.

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Current valid driving licence – desirable due to location.
  • Able to carry out tasks that involve physical strength, stamina, standing, kneeling or crouching.

Competency & Qualifications

  • Required qualification level for Level 3 apprenticeship.
  • English and maths.
  • Work reliably and effectively without close supervision.
  • Accept responsibility for the work of themselves and others.
  • Accept, allocate and supervise technical and other tasks.
  • Use oral, written and electronic methods for the communication of technical and other information.
  • Work effectively with colleagues.
  • Undertake work in a way that contributes to sustainable development.
  • Maintain and enhance competence in own area.
  • Exercise responsibilities in an ethical manner.

Key Duties

  • Deliver coursework to the required standard and on time.
  • Learn to read Electrical/Mechanical Wiring Diagrams & Engineering Drawings.
  • Help to select materials and equipment to carry out work.
  • Installation of a variety of cable types including PVC, Steel Wired Armour, Data Cables.
  • Installation and Fabrication of Cable containment systems such as Trunking, Conduit, Cable Tray.
  • Inspect and Test electrical Installations.
  • Complete paperwork including job cards, test schedules & calculations.
  • Diagnose and fix faults on a range of circuits and equipment including Control panels.
  • Work with little supervision relying on initiative.
  • Undertake additional skills training applicable to Hydro International Europe Wastewater Ltd scope of work.
  • Work outdoors and indoors - sometimes at height.
  • Be prepared to travel away from home.
  • Work within a sewage treatment environment.
  • Perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • Any other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
