This role sits within our UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) team, supporting water utility companies on sewage treatment sites across the UK.

About the job

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our Dumfries branch. This is a practical, hands-on field role with plenty of variety and opportunities for development. In this job, you will:

  • Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage treatment sites
  • Carry out site inspections, fault finding and produce survey reports for quotations
  • Access and interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic devices
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces and in all weather conditions on wastewater sites
  • Work away from home regularly, including overnight stays
  • Occasionally work in Hydro workshops across the UK
  • Collaborate with other engineers and trades as part of a strong multi-disciplinary team

About you

You will need:

  • A current valid UK driving licence
  • City & Guilds mechanical engineering qualification
  • Completion of a recognised mechanical apprenticeship
