Hydro Cleansing Ltd (HCL) is a leading provider of environmental services across London and the South East. We deliver a fast, responsive and highly effective service including drainage inspection, sewer maintenance, waste management, confined space operations and emergency response.
We are looking for a reliable and organised Yard Foreman to oversee the daily operations of our waste recycling yard and manage the yard team. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, organisation and operational efficiency across the site.
The Role
As Yard Foreman, you will supervise the yard team and ensure the site operates safely, efficiently and in line with company procedures. You will coordinate personnel, maintain equipment standards and ensure the yard remains clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all yard personnel and daily yard operations
- Ensure efficient use of staff, equipment and yard resources
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation across the site
- Ensure all equipment is clean, maintained and ready for use
- Carry out basic machinery checks and report defects promptly
- Enforce company policies on timekeeping, attendance and workplace procedures
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
- Monitor and maintain safe working practices within the yard
- Provide regular operational updates and reports to management
- Support recruitment, performance management and disciplinary processes with HR where required
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a yard, waste management, construction or similar environment
- Experience supervising staff or leading a small team
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a hands-on environment
- Driving licence (desirable)
- Willingness to complete WAMITAB qualification (training provided)

Schedule
Monday to Friday. Overtime available.
Location
Croydon, CR0 4XB. Must be able to commute to Croydon, CR0 4XB, or plan to relocate before starting work. Work Location: On-site at our waste recycling centre.
