Hydrasun are looking to speak with qualified Hydraulic Technicians experienced in hydraulic, pneumatic and gas control systems to join our expanding Teesside team. You will play a key role in delivering high-impact engineering solutions across multiple sectors. This is an opportunity to lead technical scopes, support commissioning activities, and contribute to the growth of a team at the forefront of energy innovation.

About the Role

  • Installing, integrating and commissioning hydraulic, pneumatic and gas systems
  • Reviewing schematics, P&IDs and GAs to define scope and equipment requirements
  • Producing method statements, risk assessments and material take-offs
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining fluid power systems in varied environments
  • Supporting in-house manufacturing and testing to Hydrasun’s standards

About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Recognised vocational qualification in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or instrumentation service environments
  • Proficient in small-bore tubing installation
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, P&IDs and GAs
  • Experience overhauling and testing pumps, motors and control valves
  • Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and maintenance skills
  • Experience with mechanical bolt torquing and joint integrity
  • Good knowledge of hydraulic and instrument fittings and thread forms
  • Hydraulic accumulator pre-charge, maintenance and servicing experience
  • Computer literate, including MS Office
  • Comfortable working away from home and adapting to customer requirements
  • Able to work effectively in both team environments and independently
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
  • TSBT credentials for small-bore tubing
  • Diploma in Mechanical, Hydraulics or Instrumentation Engineering
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Marine or Petrochemical sectors
  • Knowledge of high-pressure gas systems
  • Experience commissioning mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment
  • Hydraulic flushing and pressure testing experience
  • Advanced hydraulics training or certification
