- Role and Responsibilities
As Assistant Branch Manager, you will support the Branch Manager in the day–to–day operation of the branch.
You’ll help lead the team, support sales growth, and ensure high standards of service, safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and develop the branch team, providing first–line people support
- Assist in driving sales growth and delivering excellent customer service
- Support daily branch operations, including orders, quotations and job coordination
- Act as an escalation point for customer queries when required
- Support use of digital tools, including job management systems
- Champion health & safety and ensure compliance with company policies
- What we’re looking for
Essential experience
- Experience supporting or managing a team in an operational or service environment
- Strong customer–facing skills with a focus on service excellence
- Confident IT and digital skills
- Organised, proactive and detail–focused approach
- Strong communication and relationship–building skills
- Health & safety awareness
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable experience
- Engineering or service background, ideally within hydraulics or a similar industry
- Supervisory or management experience
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering, customer service or management
- Knowledge of hydraulics, hoses and fittings
