Hydraquip is the largest independent Hose & Hydraulics Company in the UK. We are dedicated to providing the highest levels of service to our customers. We aim to provide the best hose repair service in this area. The key to our success is our people. We are recruiting an experienced Mobile Hose Engineer in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, United Kingdom to grow the business in this area.
Hydraquip's engineers are trained to current industry standards with additional training given where required to ensure all service jobs are completed to the highest standard.
The Mobile Hydraulic Hose Engineer Role
Your daily duties will mainly include:
- Attending to the sites, replacing hoses and hydraulic components for our clients
- Liaising with existing customers
- Reporting job processes through the company mobile app
- Updating orders
- Developing the business with existing and new customers
Basic hours of work are 8 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday (42.5 hours a week). As the Mobile Hydraulic Hose Engineer you will be expected to be part of an on-call rota (usually one week a month) which will require work onsite at nights and weekends if needed. This will be rewarded by on-call retainer, overtime pay + commission for being on a call-out.
Requirements as a Mobile Hydraulic Hose Engineer include:
- The ideal candidate must be a hard-working and reliable person, being able to work unsupervised and be customer-focused.
- All Mobile Hydraulic Hose Engineer applicants must have previous experience working in the Hose Replacement Industry or as a Forklift/Plant fitter, HGV fitter, Agricultural Fitter or experience in a mechanical role.
- The job role involves canvassing potential new customers so candidates must be confident dealing with new & existing customers.
- All applicants must hold a manual UK Driving Licence, ideally for a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 3 penalty points.
