We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent.

Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing business and lead the day-to-day operations of our finance function.
Managing a team of 8 across Management Accounts, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting strategic decision‑making, driving continuous improvement and ensuring robust financial controls across the business.
Key responsibilities include
- Preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
- Delivering financial analysis and reporting to support business performance and strategic decision‑making
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of 8 finance professionals
- Managing cash flow forecasting and working capital performance
- Ensuring compliance with VAT, Intrastat and statutory reporting requirements
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting activities
- Leading the annual audit process and supporting statutory accounts preparation
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and efficiencies
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and providing meaningful financial insight and support
Essential Experience / What we’re looking for
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Management Accountant role
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting background
- Experience leading and developing finance teams
- Experience managing audits and statutory reporting requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within a multi‑site business environment
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial services or distribution sectors
- Experience with ERP systems and finance process improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of Intact IQ or similar finance systems
- Strong understanding of working capital management and cash flow forecasting
