Role and Responsibilities
As a Field Service Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive a fast and efficient breakdown response service. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will coordinate engineer callouts, manage customer updates and support the day-to-day operations of the Kettering region.
- Receive and prioritise breakdown calls.
- Allocate jobs to field-based engineers using our scheduling systems.
- Provide customers with regular, accurate updates and ETAs.
- Act as the first point of contact for engineers throughout the day.
- Monitor job progress and react quickly to changing priorities.
- Maintain accurate records and provide updates to the Regional Manager.
- Deliver excellent customer service while managing multiple tasks.

Essential experience
- Previous experience in a planning, scheduling, dispatch, coordinating or customer service role.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
- Good IT skills and confidence using multiple systems.
Desirable experience
- Experience coordinating mobile engineers, drivers, or field-based teams.
- Knowledge of the local Kettering and surrounding areas.
