Starting on day shift, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe receipt, storage, movement, and control of raw materials within a sheet steel manufacturing environment.
Duties include:
- Operating forklift trucks and material handling equipment
- Receiving and inspecting incoming materials
- Loading and monitoring automated storage and production systems
- Transporting materials to designated areas
- Maintaining accurate stock records
- Carrying out routine equipment checks
- Ensuring materials are stored safely and correctly
The role also involves:
- Supporting inventory management
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards
- Reporting any equipment or material issues
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Have previous forklift experience within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Possess a good understanding of stock control processes
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Experience handling sheet steel or industrial materials would be advantageous.
