At our plant in Glenrothes, Scotland we design, develop and produce radial piston motors working in partnership with world renowned international OEM’s in industries such as material handling, construction and forestry machinery. Responsibilities

  • Manage product development projects, ensuring functional, cost, and quality requirements are met within budget and on time.
  • Collaborate across functions, including Manufacturing, Sales, and Purchasing, to achieve project objectives.
  • Foster an agile approach with regular team meetings and short feedback loops.
  • Provide transparency on project status and risks, presenting regular summaries to senior management and thus allowing timely decision making.
  • Lead the Product Engineering Process (PEP) for new product development, defining schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Moderate workshops for innovation, design to cost, design for manufacture and problem solving among other topics.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives to boost profitability.

Qualifications

  • HNC/HND or Degree level in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Proven experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in managing projects, delivering on time and within budget.
  • Project Management experience, ideally within product development.
  • Ability to summarise complex information for leadership.
  • Excellent working knowledge of 3D CAD systems – Creo advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics and/or pneumatics advantageous.
  • Thorough understanding and experience in application of lean principles, including Kaizen, 5s and Kanban.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Computer literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001, knowledge of ISO 14001 would be advantageous.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably with precision machined components.
