This role is for Maternity Cover up to 12 months.
The Role
This position will manage the EMEA accounting/transactions team, preparation and coordination of all transactional reporting for the Group while ensuring accurate and compliant accounting procedures are maintained across all entities. This role is required to work on international accounting projects, provide leadership to a local accounting team and collaborate closely with the EMEA Leaders and external consultants and auditors.

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting and general ledger activities with the transactional team.
- Support the financial accounting including the preparation of country financial statements (yearly, quarterly, monthly) in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Operational controlling, support stakeholders across the functions including budgets and forecasts.
- Provide input to EMEA Controllership in making corporate decisions by preparing professional evaluations relating to the accounting processes.
- Support all local EMEA and US audit processes and deliver statutory filings on time, SOX compliance.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable collections through review of customer accounts, liaising with an external debt collection agency and ensuring prompt payment of invoices.
- Manage Concur expense system, NetSuite functionality and banking software.
- Point of contact for auditors, banks, leasing partners, authorities and insurance companies etc.
- Create an environment that enables and motivates team members to perform to their maximum potential and maintaining strong team spirit.
- Aid in the implementation of a new ERP system.
- Participate in cross functional projects as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you need to know:
Required
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a supervisory capacity (i.e. Manager) ideally in consumer products or retail industry.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, ability to define new standardized processes.
- Hands-on mentality and work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Accurate, structured, independent and self-reliant way of working.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high commitment, manage resources, and effectively meet critical deadlines; natural curiosity for problem solving.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, Concur and Oracle FCCS.
- Advanced knowledge in MS-Office, Planning and Reporting software tools
- Fluency in English a must.
- Beauty or aesthetics industry experience.
- Other language skills.
