Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Work Pattern: We operate to a rotating shift pattern as follows: Early shift 06:45-14:45 (Monday to Thursday) and 06:45-13:45 (Friday). Late shift 14:30-22:30 (Monday to Thursday) and 13:30-20:30 (Friday). Saturday morning shift overtime available occasionally.

We are one of the World's leading manufacturers of water purification and disinfection tablets, supplying government organisations, charities and prominent retailers with our lifesaving products. Our commitment to quality and sustainability drives our success, and we are looking for an additional, dedicated and detail oriented, QC Technician to join our current team of two.

About the role: As a QC Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products and processes meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Full training will be provided however experience operating in food or pharmaceutical environments would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Check that incoming Raw Materials are within specification.
  • Check bulk and finished goods are produced within acceptable limits of quality, quantity and efficiency.
  • Ensure that in-process control quality meets the specification and requirement stipulated in the work instructions or procedures.
  • Provide accurate testing of components, Raw Materials, bulk/finished products and stability samples and technical support in the Analytical QC lab.
  • Collecting, logging and storing of QC retention samples.
  • Monitoring and ordering lab supplies.
  • To calibrate QC laboratory equipment as per schedule on the appropriate SOP.
  • To be fully conversant with GMP principles and QA SOP's.
  • Checking of Batch records ensuring in Process Control Checks are being completed, and cross checking test results made by operations.

About you:

  • Highly literate. Good level of conversational and written English.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Experience of quality control practices/environment.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (pharmaceutical/food manufacture etc. preferred).
  • Experience of GMP/FMCG environment (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Organised and methodical.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
