Grounds and Maintenance Operative – Gee Cross

What hours will you be working?
Up to 20 hours a week. The work can be arranged to suit your availability and we are flexible with this.
What you\’ll be doing as Grounds and Maintenance Operative?
Here at Hydes, making sure our pubs are in tip top condition for the guests that visit us is highly important to us and you\’ll be in control of looking after the gardens and outdoor areas as well as some basic maintenance requirements of the indoor areas.
You\’ll look after;
- landscape maintenance including grass cutting, weeding and leaf blowing
- pruning, hedge cutting and litter picking
- pathway gritting and minor snow clearance in the winter
For the maintenance side of things, you\’ll be able to do some basic painting inside and general small fixings / changing lightbulbs / fence maintenance.
About you…
As a key member of the team, you will have an attention to detail and be able to work on your own initiative.
We\’re looking for someone with a great work ethic who has experience with general maintenance tasks and is happy working outdoors in all weathers.
You\’ll also ensure that all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to, and equipment is kept in a safe working condition.

Guests can join us for a refreshing drink, a casual snack, a little celebration or that special night out. We are proud to serve an extensive fresh food menu as well as a great selection of high-quality cask ales offering a wide range of styles and flavours. The Joshua Bradley & Bluebell Suite is also the perfect venue for weddings and family occasions. We\’ve got a huge beer garden with our Beer Barn outdoor bar alongside a children\’s play area.
